Ben Nita McAdam - Biography

Ben Nita, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in English.  She is a signature member of The Pastel Society of America.   Her award winning works have been in the Pastel Society of America exhibitions at The National Arts Club, The Salmagundi Club, and The Pen and Brush Club in New York City.  She belongs to The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Club, is a juried member of The Pen and Brush Club and has won Best in Show and had a solo exhibition there.    She has also had additional solo shows in New Jersey.  Ben Nita is President and an exhibiting member of The Charleston Artist Guild, The Mount Pleasant Artists Guild and has won Best in Show at the Piccolo Spoleto Juried Show and The First Federal of Charleston Show and Best of Show Charleston Outdoor Painters Association (COPA).  She is also a member The Southeastern Pastel Society.

Ben Nita lives with her husband in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  They have two grown children and four grandchildren.
